Our Children's Charities are waiting for us.
The object of The Women’s Club of Flower Hill shall be to promote civic, social and cultural interests among its members and to collect or otherwise raise funds for charitable and philanthropic purposes. The Club has been a supporter of children's charities as well as local organization in our community.
In 2024-25, The WCFH donated approx. $22,300 to local and children charities on Long Island, $10K of which we collected through our annual Holiday Drive for our sponsored family. We contributed to the Manhasset Women's Coalition Against Breast Cance (MWCABC), Adventures in Learning, The Tower Foundation of Manhasset, The Science Museum of LI, CASA, Gigi’s Playhouse for Down syndrome, Tuesdays Children, Be the Best Sports and Live through Rec adaptive sports programs in Manhasset and Port Washington, Andrew McMorris Foundation, Project Healthy Minds, Island Harvest and many other organizations.
In 2023-24, The WCFH gave back to the community by organizing a Holiday Gift Drive for a family in need, and a Socks, Hat and Gloves drive for the Homeless.
We donated approx $11K to local and childrens charities, of which $5,500 was raised and donated to the American Heart Association through our Go Red Fundraiser, chaired by our VP Deanna Durso and member Angela Classi.
We hosted a Charity Concert and raised $700 for Mr. Van Schenkoff, a Port Washington resident and manhasset choir teacher who suffered from ALS. The remaining was contributed to the Manhasset Women’s Coalition Against Breast Cancer, Manhasset CASA, Hearts PW, Tower Foundation, Science Museum of LI, Cancer Care of Port Washington, La Leche League, Spectrum Designs, One Love Outreach, Best Buddies LI, North Shore Family Guidance Center, and St. Vincent De Paul just to name a few!
